Outwith the merits that my previous and current education exemplifies, my work history has also allowed for me to take initiative. This was particularly the case as an outreach worker and a business owner. I quickly recognised that prior to these experiences, I had simply been an 'employee' following instructions. Whilst employing staff, I was able to see those who could take good initiative in my absence from the property. It certainly helped me realise that when I used to follow instructions, sometimes it is vital for all parties that initiative is taken where nobody is ready to deal with an unknown situation; only when it is provided that any action taken is within the scope of one's remit as an agent for the employer.
Writing bespoke music for film, tv, and media, as well as enjoying the process, I received some acclaim with a Birmingham Film festival nomination for my music. Elsewhere I had some experience working with the former musical director of Rockstar Games.
Our business setup included redeveloping a previous Mains office into a larger post office consisting of a retail and coffee shop area to develop the income of the company. I was involved in all aspects of the business from post office managing, staff hiring, paying wages, as well as exploring the industry options to improve our retail and coffee shop goods, allowing the best possible customer experience.

Most importantly engaged with vulnerable members of the public in an empathetic manner, and always following up visits, or engaged with the NHS about appropriate steps when worried for their ongoing safety.
