As a waitress, my responsibilities include:

-Adjusting to over 250 customers needs on busy days to enhance overall experience.

- Opening the restaurant alone on the weekends, making sure everything is in the right place before the restaurant opens to customers.

- Occasionally, uphold the responsibility of handling the cash float at the beginning of the shift.

- Helped set up and cater to certain events e.g Christmas and Wedding parties.

- Work well under pressure and at a fast pace when it is busy.

- Developed my communication skills with customers in order to adjust to their needs, while warmly welcoming them in the morning thus creating a positive and satisfactory atmosphere.

After my shift I was eager to find out a little bit more about Starbucks and the responsibilities I must uphold if I was to working with you. One of the workers showed me how to make the basic drinks and later on the following week I read the whole staff handbook with the drink recipes to become familiar with the environment and atmosphere that would bring me joy to join. I loved learning about the different drinks and just watching the Baristas at the hotel talking to customers, made me realise how excited I am to have the opportunity to potentially join such an energetic environment full of possibilities that can help expand my knowledge and skills.
