I communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and their families, ensuring they are informed, supported, and involved in decisions regarding their care. I always ensure to be an advocate for those who may be unable to speak for themselves. I work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members, including doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and senior nursing staff, to promote continuity of care, helping to achieve positive patient outcomes. I value feedback and use this reflective practice to improve my work.
  • During my time as a full-time Band 5 Staff Nurse, I developed leadership and delegation skills by supporting junior staff, nursing students and healthcare assistants, ensuring tasks were appropriately allocated while maintaining accountability for patient care.
