I am a therapist and support worker, passionate about supporting individuals to find connection and meaning in their lives, even when it feels difficult. I love helping people to reconnect with themselves, others and nature. Experienced in programme and event coordination, I create safe, inclusive spaces that foster wellbeing, trust, and engagement. Skilled in safeguarding, record-keeping, and liaising with professionals, I support individuals to access services, build confidence, and integrate into the wider community.
I worked as part of a women’s team, supporting women experiencing homelessness and domestic violence. My role involved managing a caseload, building trusted relationships, and providing both one-to-one and group support, including day trips in nature to promote wellbeing and social engagement. I safeguarded clients through regularly updated risk assessments and maintained accurate records, documenting all client interactions in the case management system. I also signposted and advocated around housing, addiction, and wider services, and regularly communicated and collaborated with other professionals to ensure coordinated support.
By providing consistent support and practical guidance, I supported women with complex needs and trauma to access services, rebuild confidence, and work toward greater independence and integration into the wider community.
I am first-aid trained and have basic training in overdose response and naloxone administration.
As part of my training i did a placement at The Quiet minds centre. A charity offering affordable counselling. Here i worked with a wide range of people, doing one to one counselling sessions.
As part of my training, i did my placement at The Harbour centre in Plymouth. A charity supporting people experiencing addiction.
I offered one to one counselling to people accessing the service, who were struggling with substance misuse.
I was born in the Monkton Wyld community, where I grew up surrounded by a culture of sharing circles and connection. These experiences taught me the importance of communication, listening, and moving forward together. Community camps have been a big part of my life, and I now contribute by running drug and alcohol workshops for teens in alternative spaces. I’m also part of the camps’ steering group, where we review feedback and work together to improve programmes for everyone involved.
I’m starting a herbalism apprenticeship with the Seed Sisters, reflecting my love of the land and my desire to deepen my connection with nature. I also have a passion for crafts, especially crochet, and music — I play the fiddle. I’m excited to bring together my love of working with people, creativity, and my relationship with the land, using the skills I’ve gained in the charity sector to support and nurture my community in meaningful ways.
