- My current Job.
- I am a full time uni student, so being able to have a job in the mornings is great.
- Working for important clients is great practice and forces me to strive for perfection when cleaning their gardens.
- It's pretty tiring. Early wake ups for a 5 hour shift then having to travel to uni, for class from 2pm to 7pm.
- I love doing it and it's again, great training for the future.
- I also work a full day on Thursday which is my day off.
- A private exhibition. Where I run the bar. I am in charge of a few others, as we serve drinks and attend to peoples needs throughout the evening.
- The work is very spontaneous.
This was my first job in London. Learnt extremely important social skills working behind a bar. Again, being attentive to people's needs and wants.
My skills learnt in the Hotel environment helped me enormously when working in a bar. Being able to deal with drunk customers is always hard, especially when they are rude. But being able to keep a straight face and remain calm, was great practice.
- My first paid job.
- Was earning £4.70 an hour.
- It was a hard job, late nights.
- I was starting right at the bottom, and by the end of my stint as a pot wash, I had learnt many things. Respecting others. Hard work. Punctuality.
I watch a film a day. It is hard to put into words how much films mean to me. I grew up watching the films of Charlie Chaplin and Steven Spielberg. Now that I am older and living in London, being able to start my journey into foreign films has been one of the greatest times of my life. I spend the majority of my time at the BFI Southbank. Even if I am not watching a film, I work and do my writing there. I read books and screenplays.
My favourite artists are Mr Stanley Kubrick, Mr Elia Kazan and Mr Federico Fellini. My favourite novels are Rebecca and The Count of Monte Cristo. I also read a lot of Pauline Kael. I am currently reading Easy Riders, Raging Bulls.
I always say I never mind what i end up doing, as long as it's in film. I love every aspect of the industry with my whole heart.
