My duties at Profile techniques included operating heavy machinery to conduct plastic extrusion. I also took on the role of health and safety officer which covered daily tasks such as ensuring the proper use of machinery and enhanced staff understanding of health and safety protocols by conducting one to one training sessions. This also comprised of promoting a culture of safety awareness throughout the company by implementing procedures and updating them when necessary. I was also trained in the use of engineer grade measurement equipment such as a calliper.

Within this role I increased product knowledge for better sales pitches, learned about local market trends for targeted canvassing. I also ensured to respect the privacy of residents and adhered strictly to legal guidelines while canvassing. I was also able to reinforce strong communication skills by interacting with a diverse range of people daily.. Thus job provided me with a variety of transferrable skills such as maintaining professionalism under high-pressure situations, leadership within a team and confidence in communication and sales ability.
