In my secondary school, I had worked for a week as part of a work experience programme in 2019. I had worked at Houghton Regin Children Centre where I had met a team of social workers that combined their different expert knowledge to help the local community. I was taught some of their skills and how they used those skills to better work together. I was also assigned independent tasks which I had to finish before a certain time, which I succeeded into.
From October 2017 to July 2018 I had been part of a student formed support group, as a member of that group I was occasionally assigned to help with preparing events that took part within the school, outside of regular school hours, such as Christmas openings for parents and children, Romeo and Juliet play by older students or Parents Evenings. At these events I was required to work aside my colleagues to prepare and host these events, some of the tasks we were assigned included serving drinks and snacks, offering guidance to the attendees and preparing the venue.
