• Filling out daily defect sheets to ensure the vehicle is road safe & legally compliant with UK road transport laws.
• Strapping and restraining loads of various quantities & types.
• Carrying out up to 10 deliveries a day using the vehicle mounted HIAB crane.

I have covered many aspects of fleet management within my last position including the following.

• Orchestrating & facilitating vehicle moves across the whole of the UK, usually on extremely tight timelines.

• Sourcing the correct vehicle for the correct job, ADR compliant loads, Freight moves, Personnel carriage.

• Ensured that the vehicles are fully compliant with MOD & DVSA policy but making them available for all scheduled maintenance.

• Planned cost & fuel efficient routes for drivers to make the best out of the organisations time & budget.

• Updated the logistic IT system to assign vehicles & drivers to specific tasks & making sure there were no clashes with other bookings.

• Complied with policy in respect of external audits by filing fuel cards, receipts, and organisational paperwork effectively in accordance with policy.

As a part of the junior management team I had the roles & responsibilities as follows:

• Overseeing the days tasks & prioritizing workloads according.

• Ensuring safe practices of work were being adhered to by all members of the team.

• Checking & signing off work sheets when tasks such as maintenance had been completed.

• Mentoring & progressing the careers of more junior members of the team by completing legislative paperwork in their career progression folders.

• Conducting administrative checks on junior team members to ensure they remained safe in all environments.

• Conducted Lessons for up to 20 team members in various lessons including driver training, "wet servicing" loading & lashing, and a plethora of other lessons.

I my tenure as the accommodation manager I held the following responsibilities.

• Ensuring that team members were housed in a safe, hygienic & policy compliant manner.

• The HO/TO of accommodation to team members arriving or vacating the property.

• Making sure the accommodation was H&S compliant for senior management in accordance with policy.

• Updating organisational IT systems & registers such as floor plans & maintenance registers.

• Reporting & Hastening work where appropriate in a friend can do attitude, gaining a positive working relationship with external contractors.

• Maintaining discipline and actioning any anti social behaviour framework.

As a driver within the armed forces I carried out the following:

• Drove HGV class 1 & 2 vehicles safety in line with MOD, DVSA & the Working Time Directive.

• Ensured loads were safely & securely restrained for road moves.

• Carried out user maintenance & before use checks on cars up to HGV class 1 vehicles.

• Filled out organisational paperwork for drivers hours & load paperwork.

• Driven the lengthy& breadth of the UK & overseas in hostile, austere environments.
