Project Worker

  • In my employment with The Michael Tracey Project, I am tasked with providing 24 hour care to vulnerable adults who live alone
  • I develop relationships with the service users and help them to live independently, encouraging outings and activity as much as possible
  • Within this role, I am responsible for encouraging independence wherever possible and ensuring all living and health protocols are adhered to
  • Tracking medication, toilet activity and diets have enabled me to develop my already excellent organisation skills, whilst I am able to use my outstanding personal and communication skills to establish and develop relationships with the people in my care.

  • As a Sales Assistant, I contributed to the profitability of the company by receiving, handling, and helping to manage the inventory of merchandise in a timely and organised manner
  • I organised the warehouse and ensure that accurate labelling, logical placement and neat arrangement maintained
  • As well as this, I also had cashier and customer service duties such as: scanning goods, collecting and issuing payments and receipts, resolve customer complaints and provide them with relevant information as well as bagging, boxing and wrapping packages
  • I also greeted customers when entering and leaving the establishment, pleasantly dealing with customers to ensure satisfaction and overall provided a great customer service
  • After a while in this role, I was promoted to the position of Team Leader, which placed me, at the majority of times, in charge of a team of 40-50 staff
  • This position allowed me to develop a variety of skills such as budgeting, leadership and decision making skills
  • In this position, my tasks included: ensuring money is accounted for and locked away in the safe before being signed over to G4S, completing store rotas to ensure all areas of the business were accounted for with relevant staffing levels dependant on the expected level of business, preparing and organising roles for all staff to be assigned to, liaising with other companies and departments, planning events and leading and motivating a large team of staff
  • In taking charge of the warehouse, I was able to demonstrate an ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • In addition, I was given the role of auditing other branches
  • This meant I would travel in a team of three to other stores and ensure correct stock and cleanliness levels were being upheld
  • By counting and comparing stock levels to what should be on the premises, I had to utilise strong communication, numerical and problem solving skills.

Camp Co-ordinator / Camp Coach

  • During the summer of 2022, I travelled to America to coach Football camps across eleven South-East states, where I worked as both a camp coach and camp director
  • My coaching duties saw me tasked with delivering developmental soccer curriculums to kids ranging from 3-15 years of age, helping me to develop my interpersonal and adaptability skills
  • As camp director, I held primary responsibility for the running of the entire camps, which entailed liaising with the companies involved, ensuring the safety of all campers, and providing a fun and enjoyable environment for the kids to learn in.

  • In my tutoring role, I was contacted through Superprof, an online tool for finding suitable tutors
  • Upon initial contact, meetings are scheduled with each pupil, which will take place over an online video platform
  • In these meetings, I would use my knowledge and understanding of Physical Education to educate the pupils in any area of the subject that they feel most unsettled with from their in-school learning
  • During this employment, I was able to utilise my communication skills to assist the young learners in developing their knowledge and understanding of theoretical Physical Education
  • This also allowed me to further develop my organisation and technological skills.

  • At Cardinal Winning, I was granted the opportunity to develop my experience of working with children in an educational environment
