Additional Information

  • references
  • Assist with Advance medical procedures Use current specific medical modules Demonstrating an understanding of packaging and evacuating a casualty and dealing with the dead, provide and run a medical centre and train junior medics in associated duties, Use current communication equipment and methods for lectures and situational development and awareness Demonstrate an understanding of Environmental Health Issues Carry out field skills required by a CMT 1 and state registered paramedic My role both as a combat medic and Paramedic entails me working as a “practice manager” for the medical Officer (MO) whilst on exercise and in most occasions acting as medical officer when there is nonavailable. This is known as a Company Aid Post or a Regimental Aid Post (CAP/RAP) and is a front line role and first point of contact and treatment for ill and injured soldiers. As a Combat Medic and Paramedic my role is to treat and advise patients within the limits of my training and refer issues I cannot resolve to the Medical Officer. As a Combat Medic I need to be physically fit as I provide medical cover to exercising troops, covering many miles as a patrol medic dealing with minor/major injuries as an when is required in some unconventional conditions and situations. I work as part of a team of medics where communication is vital to ensure patient welfare, as well as team welfare in stressful and dangerous situations. Similarly, in CSG, as in all organisations, communication has/have a large part to play in Health and Safety. I must pass on information and share responsibilities thus ensuring that customers have the best, safest, most enjoyable experience possible while using our facility. Communication also ensures that any complaints, concerns, or gratitude will be dealt with in a friendly, professional manner. While working for Belfast city council I worked as outdoor facilities manager. This consisted of taking bookings and allocating leisure spaces to the individual booking requirements, implementing council maintenance policies, allocating staffing levels, budgeting running costs for each amenity, daily cash handling, customer interface, staff wages, health and safety checks and reports, daily amenity inspections. pool plant maintenance and checks as well as opening and closing the facility on top of many of the duties mentioned above. Working in as a facilities manager I was always in a customer facing role, in constant contact with a diverse range of people and cultures. I am sensitive to the challenges that can arise when dealing with members of the public's different cultures and languages. I can adapt to deal with these challenges and solve problems on my feet. I would bring these skills to this role within your Organisation.
