In my role as an Environmental apprentice I gained a vast amount of experience in all aspects of delivering a cleaning and Environmental service.

My main duties and responsibilities were -

• Perform daily checks prior to departing from the depot to guarantee equipment functionality for service delivery.
• Ensuring to wear correct Personal Protective Equipment as stated in risk assessments for any given task.
• Delivering a fortnightly stair cleaning & grass cutting service for customers.

• Responsible for delivery a cleaning service to an extremely high standard.
• Taking instruction from my team leader and executing given tasks in a timely manner.
• Organising and prioritising tasks to ensure daily workloads are completed efficiently.
• To uplift bulk items in line with manual handling training.

• Directly communicating with customers and re laying information to my team leader.
• Handling all cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH (Control Of Substances Hazardous To Health)

Over the course of my two year modern apprenticeship within Wheatley Group I have developed many skills including how to deliver exceptional customer service in every interaction. I have gained confidence and experience through working on the front line within customers communities, having interactions where any issues or suggestions can be raised. Always being approachable and willing to help, I go the extra mile to ensure great outcomes for customers.

I really enjoyed all aspects of my apprenticeship and was always enthusiastic when learning new skills such as, machinery training and Think Yes training which gave me all the tools to ensure I am a friendly, approachable, confident member of the team who colleagues and customers can rely on. My attention to detail is something I am very proud of and I utilised this daily to carry out work to as high a standard as possible across a variety of tasks.

Working as part of a team every day and building relationships with colleagues was a huge part of achieving success within my role and I believe in any working environment positive working relationships are key to delivering excellent results and outcomes for customers.

During my time I worked towards and achieved an SVQF level 5 in Facilities Services which includes the following achievements.
