As a Senior Product Designer I led complex sub-assembly design projects, from early conceptual design stage through to Production, meeting milestones whilst optimising designs for manufacturability.

Areas within my roles include;

Leading a team of mid-level and junior designers, as well as collaboration with team of designers in China and Vietnam.

Resolving conceptual issues and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Maintaining strong relationships with international toolmakers, ensuring precise interpretation of design requirements.

Delivering robust mechanical designs using Creo, complemented by detailed 2D drawings and tolerance analysis.

Developing bespoke electro-mechanical components in partnership with specialist suppliers.

Directing creation of full-scale prototypes via 3D printing to validate assembly and ergonomics.

Providing onsite support during supplier visits for part approval and production builds in China.

Led mechanical design for individual POS terminal projects from concept to production.

Design of plastic, sheet metal and electro-mechanical assemblies using Creo, and controlled within Windchill PDM system.

BOM creation and maintenance, and ECO/ECN control using Agile PLM system.

Supported QA testing including drop impact, ingress protection, and durability assessments.

Assisted in managing supplier tooling, NPI builds, and production approvals in Vietnam and China.

• Designed global set‑top box platforms for satellite and cable markets.

• Developed injection‑moulded enclosures and internal mechanical architectures.

• Managed suppliers, prototyping, documentation, and Agile BOM control.

• Satellite TV receiver design for European and South American markets.

• Produced high‑tolerance mechanical components and 3D prototypes.

• Supported supplier tooling and production release.
