Rhianne Hall

I have completed my first class degree in Primary Education, with QTS. Throughout my time at Marjon I had many amazing experiences, including three work placements in Y2, a Y3-4 mix and a Y6 class in my final year placement. Over this time I leant and practiced skills in planning, resourcing, classroom and behaviour management and working as a team in the schools I visited. Over three three year period I completed modules in:

• Y1: Planning and Assessment, Social and Emotional Development, Early Mathematical Development and Different Teaching Approaches.
• Y2: Inclusion, History Teaching Approaches, Subject Knowledge Development, Mastery and an enhanced placement based on local history.
• Y3: Professional Studies, Subject Specialism and my dissertation on cross-curricular teaching approaches

I have also obtained a History subject specialism and completed units on teaching phonics and early reading.

For the last three academic years I have been working for Zen Educate, so I have current experience working for a supply agency. I am used to taking advanced and on the day bookings and managing my time, as well as using online systems. I feel like I've gained valuable experience working in a plethora of different settings.

For the majority of the last two academic years, I have been engaged in a long term situation in a primary school, where I have taken on several rolls inside the classroom as both teacher and TA across both Key Stages and in mixed year classes. This time in one school setting has been a huge benefit to my professional development and allowed me to hone my skills including planning, marking, teaching phonics through the Read, Write Inc scheme, working with other staff members and participating in the wider school life.
