• Coordinated 4 cardiac theatres, 1 Cath lab, and 1 hybrid theatre.
• Attended bed meetings and liaised with CICU sisters to establish theatre capacity daily
• Coordinated theatre scheduling at MDT to maximise total cases across cardiac services.
• Clinical duties included preparation of the anaesthetic rooms
• maintenance and calibration of various anaesthetic equipment including T.O.E machines, checking difficult airway and cardiac arrest kit.
• Other pre anaesthetic preparation measures include assembly of fluid lines, arterial and central venous pressure devises, drawing up anaesthetic drugs and infusions for the consultant
• Intraoperatively my responsibilities include constant awareness of the patients monitoring, processing blood gas, ACT, Thromboelastograph samples and the safe checking of blood/clotting products.
• providing a 24 hour on call service for cardiac theatres and Cath Labs.
