Summary

Executive leader, governance specialist, maritime operator and international sporting administrator with more than thirty years' experience leading complex organisations, major transformation programs, membership-based institutions and maritime operations. Former Senior Partner & Infrastructure Practice Leader at Deloitte, Senior Partner & National Education Sector Leader at KPMG, Senior Partner & Country Managing Partner of PA Consulting Australia and Director Consulting UK & Europe for MCI Communications. For more than thirty years I have pursued two parallel passions: helping organisations perform at their best and helping sailors perform at their best. Throughout that time I have led major transformation programs, professional services practices, membership organisations, maritime operations, coaching programs and international sporting initiatives. As sailing has become increasingly professional and clubs increasingly complex, the value of that combination has only grown. I believe the challenges facing modern sporting organisations cannot be solved by management capability alone, nor by sporting expertise alone. They require executive leadership, governance expertise, financial stewardship, operational discipline and a deep understanding of the sport and where it is heading. My career has been built at the intersection of those worlds. Throughout my career I have specialised in helping organisations navigate periods of change, particularly where technology, infrastructure, governance, finance and stakeholder interests intersect. Whether recovering underperforming programs, modernising membership organisations, implementing major reforms, building high-performing teams or developing new operating models, my focus has consistently been on strengthening performance, restoring confidence and positioning organisations for long-term success.
