Summary

I'm an award winning farm manager with over 35 years experience,

I have a good head for business and great technical expertise in outdoor pig breeding. Throughout my career I have worked hard to improve the welfare of farm animals and the lives of the people that work with them. Linking high welfare and the best possible levels of stockmanship to improvements in farm performance.

While performing my roles I have built up excellent professional relationships with industry leaders at many organisations including AHDB, TIAH, RSPCA Assured, NPA as well as fellow producers and the wider pig industry supply chains. My efforts and achievements have been recognised throughout my career, most recently at the National Pig Awards for Innovation of the Year 2024, Farm Manager of the Year and Outdoor Breeding and Overall Unit of the Year 2021, and by Farmers Weekly as their 2022 UK Farm Manager of the Year.

In recent years I have been a regular contributor to the agricultural press, a champion of environmental projects and other positive initiatives within the industry. I also consult for a leading pig equipment manufacturer in the design and development of its award-winning products. I am extremely proud of these achievements and remain motivated to further improve standards across the industry, with a focus on staff training, animal welfare and innovation.
