My most recent work was with Air Quality Solutions: a tech-empowered environmental consultancy that specialises in providing air quality assessments for planning permission applications.

As part of a small-team start up, my responsibilities spanned many facets of the business: product (software) development, writing internal and external business documents, marketing and sales.

Principally, my job was software development for the purpose of process automation. I created solutions and tools that reduced the workload of consultants from tens of hours per assessment, to a matter of minutes. An example of such is automated report generation: using a combination of traditional programming and generative AI to reduce the reporting process from ~4 hours to ~15 seconds (plus time for review). All the necessary learning for this role was self-directed and all solutions were researched, planned and executed by myself.

As the member of the team with the strongest written English, I assumed responsibility for writing and editing many formal documents on behalf of the business. Both internal policy and strategy documents, as well as proposals for potential business collaborations/contracts. Of the business proposals that were sent to potential clients that I wrote, all resulted in a successful meeting booked for further discussion.

I also created Company LinkedIn page designed to increase recognition and brand awareness. Between March and July, I helped grow the company page to 200+ followers which when compared to well-established companies in this micro niche, is impressive given the timescale.
