A highlight of my role was being the operational finance contact during the sale of an entity within the S&G group which included initial teaser creation & data warehousing for bidders, scenario forecasting creation as well as final disposal calculation & accounting.

Another highlight has been working on the management accounting relating to the group action Volkswagen claim which included settlements for thousands of affected clients.

Working with department heads across the business to deliver monthly variance analysis discussions and provide value to the wider business has also been a key part of this role.

Performed a variety of tasks in this role, including:

• Accruals & prepayments
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Audit contact from start to finish
• Going concern calculations & paper
• Budget creation & monthly forecasting
• Debtors, disbursements, legal creditors & other balance sheet reporting
• Revenue & WIP analysis
• Cash flow forecasting and analysis
• Ad hoc analysis & reporting monthly

• My first role within an industry finance team. I developed under the guidance of the divisional finance manager reporting on performance and monthly KPIs, undertaking all of the management accountant tasks above and finishing my AAT level 4 studies.

• New starter onboarding, contract changes, leaver processes and HR reporting as well as general queries were all part of the day-to-day.

• Team of 3 completing the monthly payroll run for over 2,000 employees including paying overtime, bonuses, calculating and paying statutory payments and company benefits. Cascade Payroll system.

• Forensic accounting, audit and preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships & limited companies.
