I am a confident, hardworking person who enjoys traveling, animals, music and food. I enjoy the smaller things in life, such as cooking a nice meal and getting stuck into a good book. I have a sausage dog called Beans and a cat called Ron whom I love very much (although I'm not sure they love each other quite so much!) One of the things I'm most proud of is the fact that I moved to Spain on my own to pursue a new adventure, which is where I met my partner. We proceeded to live in Spain for 3 years between 2018-2021, where we enjoyed many fun times, but also experienced the peak Covid lockdown from our apartment in Barcelona, which was certainly an experience I'll never forget. Unfortunately we had to return home after my mum passed away suddenly, and since then I have worked hard to settle back into life in the UK. I am excited for new challenges that lie ahead and am keene to join a team in which i can use and advance my current skills, to build a long term career I can be proud of.
During my time at Nurseplus I have developed my skills in many areas, for instance I have always been a very social person, I enjoy meeting and talking to new people and have found my skills have been well suited to the role. I am more than comfortable interviewing candidates, visiting clients and interacting daily with our carers. I have enjoyed working within a team alongside Ben & Holly, though I’m equally adept at working solo where needed. The role I have taken on at Nurseplus has helped develop my communication skills, but has also helped improve certain skills I hadn’t needed in previous work roles. I can confidently carry out monthly checks, payroll, interviews, and regular business development, and have understood and completed the tasks I have been assigned with ease sine I first joined the company in August of 2022. I enjoy business development and have brought on serval client since working at Nurseplus. My sales background has helped me establish good relationships with both new and current clients and I look forward to helping the company grow in these areas. I hope I can continue my development with Nurseplus whilst taking on further responsibilities, as I feel I excel at the role.
My role as a property manager at Leaders saw me taking on different responsibilities and challenges. I was the go-to contact for almost 100 landlords and even more tenants, where it would be my responsibility to sort out any issues with properties. Issues could include anything from burst boilers, to deposit disputes, which are often intense problems that need immediate solutions. I credit my ability to stay patient, calm and composed during difficult phone conversations with this role in particular and whilst I felt more suited to sales at the time, the skills I picked up have been long lasting.
I worked at Smarter Cover for 7 months selling life insurance, I am very confident in sales and quickly took to this role. I was the first in my training class to hit target and quickly became a top performer in my team. I enjoyed the fast paced nature of sales and felt comfortable talking to a large volume of people daily.
I created The Pips Room with my partner, where we helped people learn how to trade on the foreign exchange market as-well as introducing them to the brokers we worked with. We started our business from nothing and worked solely on commission throughout, also employing marketers beneath us. I dealt with invoicing, business management and client support. I also liaised with a variety of brokers for cpa deals and brought in over 400+ clients. We used social media to advertise and market our brand and to talk to our potential clients. My partner still continues this work and I help him with some of the business dealings from time to time.
I worked at Townends for over a year and a half. I loved being a lettings agent, it was my first real sales role and I really enjoyed it. I worked in a small team and worked to bring on houses, rent them out, conduct viewings and process the sales. I would also often have to negotiate between potential tenants and landlords. I initially worked in the Staines office, managing lettings mostly on my own. They then moved me to Egham which is one of their highest performing office where I quickly worked my way up to one of the stop salespersons and won employee of the month.
