Coming from a traditional upbringing and background, I have overcome cultural barriers as a woman to break into the field of Software Development, where my interests and passions lie. Conforming to societal pressures and expectations to be a homemaker, I constantly questioned this path and ultimately decided to pursue my career in Tech. While my practical experience with real-world programming scenarios is limited, I have independently developed skills in Python, JavaScript, SQL and Agile/Scrum methodologies and testing out industry software such as JIRA and Confluence with free trials. I believe I have a natural aptitude for problem-solving and programming, and am a highly capable academic individual, with a proven track record demonstrated through my GCSE and A-level achievements. Above all, I value communication skills, am a great listener, and therefore a dedicated learner and self-starter. I have a strong willingness to learn and a genuine desire to acquire knowledge, make an impact with it, and excel.
I am actively seeking an apprenticeship pathway, which would guide me to my goals as well as providing financial stability, provide me with hands-on learning and experience, as well as the opportunity to network, socialise, and apply my skills in a practical environment.
