As an educator with extensive experience within international curriculum development, I have created and implemented educational programmes that cater for a diverse, global student population.

Key Contributions:

  • Curriculum Design: I have led the development of curricula for international programs: Foundation Year, International Year One and Pre-Masters programmes ensuring that cultural perspectives were incorporated to meet an ever evolving student needs.
  • Collaboration: My roles have required me to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including universities; in particular the University of Warwick and Aston University , awarding bodies and internal stakeholders.
  • Technology: Recognizing the importance of technology I have implemented e-learning platforms, in particular Blackboard and Google to support virtual learning, interactive content, and online assessments Thus, improving accessibility, engagement and inclusive learning.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: I have established and maintained rigorous quality assurance processes which involves regular curriculum reviews, feedback collection to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Student Support: Understanding the unique challenges faced by international students, I have designed and managed support systems, including orientation programs and academic support. This means working with the support services, the EAP team and personal academic tutors.

My work within the international curricula has improved the educational experience for students around the world, aiding them in achieving their educational goals.

I would like to continuing to develop my efforts in international curriculum innovation, to respond to students evolving needs. The position of Associate Professor (Programme Director) therefore would therefore be ideal in meeting my current aspirations. I feel that I have the skills to contribute in supporting students in their academic journey working with staff within and across the faculty, to ensure student needs are met and growth is achieved.
