RDKB Functional Testing which involves defect validation, feature validation and assuring the firmware quality

Responsibilities:

• As a test engineer, I am responsible for creating test cases for new features and test plan execution
• Defect validation and maintaining Jira lifecycle of bugs reported
• Responsible for Mesh WiFi testing with CPE and Extenders
• Responsible to validate bootloader with RDKB firmware which involves image bank checks and serialisation data.
• Responsible for testing Remote Management Protocols like WebPA, Webconfig, GUI
• Good knowledge on tr181 data models
• Responsible to test Log upload, telemetry, wanmanager, RFC, Xconf CDL, Crash upload in CPE
• Good knowledge in Advance security feature like Cujo.
• Responsible for validation of new features in RDKB.
• Responsible for Smoke and Sanity testing in Release builds.
• Responsible for training new resources in team.

RDKB testing project which covers the Wi-Fi Performance, User story and defect validation of routers including business gateways.

Responsibilities:

• Gained knowledge in Rate vs Orientation Throughput testing
• Responsible for WiFi User Story validation
• Responsible for WiFi Bug Validation in sprint and Release builds
• Knowledge on E2E telecommunications network with Hands-on experience on CMTS and DOCSIS standards
• Hands on experience on Routers, WiFi New feature Testing, Regression, Interoperability, Functionality, Stability and Performance testing

Description:

Functional and Performance testing of the new features on RDK-Broadband devices

Responsibilities:

• As a test engineer, I was responsible for the functional validation of various features in the devices, loading of builds, checking crashes , wifi statuses, console logs, kernel warnings etc..
• The project also involved the stability testing of RDKB devices and its MTBF reporting
• Conducting 8 hour Rack Stability testing and analyzing the issues in Xi devices of various vendors connected to the router RDK B devices.
• Crash analysis in RDK V and RDK B devices using Comcast proprietary Crash portal and Phoenix tools.
• Stress Test triggering in Rack boxes. It includes code downloading of latest firmware and starting stability tests like continuous channel tuning, VOD and DVR playback etc.
• Experience in analyzing crashes and taking core dumps, analyzing load average, memory leak CPU usage, reboot issues, AV issue, analysis of linear (QAM and IP) channel, DVR, VOD tunes and reporting in JIRA.
• Analysis of bugs reported from Comcast Set Top Boxes and provides inputs to the module owners/developers about the root cause of the issues.

The project involved the functional validation of RDKV device models which involves defect validation, automation execution and analysis

Responsibilities:

• As a test engineer, I was responsible for the automation execution of scripts, log analysis after execution, defect raising and defect validation.
• I was also responsible for the manual execution of list of test cases and defect validations
• Also worked on the WIFI testing in Xi5 and Xi6 devices
• Worked with various RDKV device models like Xi5, Xi6, XG1V3, XG1V4 etc.
• Also worked on TDK test execution and reporting on weekly basis for eight models (currently).
• I have also worked for the Enhancement of Zephyr tool according to the customer requirement.
• Developed a Portal for box allocation
• Expertise in various report preparations for senior leadership.
• Interacted with the on a daily basis to understand the requirements
