Description:

Functional and Performance testing of the new features on RDK-Broadband devices


Responsibilities:

  • As a test engineer, I was responsible for the functional validation of various features in the devices, loading of builds, checking crashes , wifi statuses, console logs, kernel warnings etc..
  • The project also involved the stability testing of RDKB devices and its MTBF reporting
  • Conducting 8 hour Rack Stability testing and analyzing the issues in Xi devices of various vendors connected to the router RDK B devices.
  • Crash analysis in RDK V and RDK B devices using Comcast proprietary Crash portal and Phoenix tools.
  • Stress Test triggering in Rack boxes. It includes code downloading of latest firmware and starting stability tests like continuous channel tuning, VOD and DVR playback etc.
  • Experience in analyzing crashes and taking core dumps, analyzing load average, memory leak CPU usage, reboot issues, AV issue, analysis of linear (QAM and IP) channel, DVR, VOD tunes and reporting in JIRA.
  • Analysis of bugs reported from Comcast Set Top Boxes and provides inputs to the module owners/developers about the root cause of the issues.

  • Also worked on the WIFI testing in Xi5 and Xi6 devices
