I am a qualified primary school teacher with 25 years of experience, currently working at SS Peter and Paul School. I have taught Years 1, 2, 3 and 4 (over a period of 14 years) and specialized in Physical Education to both key stages 1 and 2 and coordinated the PE and Games curriculum, from Early Years to key stages 1 and 2. This has included planning, delivery and resourcing sport, as well as managing a small number of staff. Successfully managed soccer schools, tennis sessions and holiday sports camps for 20 years. Self-motivated, committed and dedicated individual, who has the ability to adapt to the ever-changing nature of modern day teaching strategies.
I am experienced in adapting lessons and classroom environments to meet the needs of learners with SEND.
Having worked in a number of different environments, this has given me the opportunity to broaden and strengthen my teaching experience. I am able to develop my teaching skills and improve my understanding of how children learn, whilst being committed to ensuring that I create an environment where the children feel comfortable, secure and able to recognise their own personal growth and achievements.
I continually set myself high standards and work towards ensuring that the children within my responsibility follow this example. This has been demonstrated by outstanding appraisal reports and lesson observations. I can demonstrate excellent communication skills and consider myself to be a very effective team member.
I can offer a variety of extra-curricular provision to the school and provide fundraising for events lead by the ‘Ranby Parent’s Association.
