I am an English teacher of 19 years experience, including TEFL and Secondary English, and have developed my skills in planning, creating and delivering engaging, challenging and enjoyable lessons which help students to make progress.
I am fully qualified with PGCE English and CELTA 'B'.
I am an enthusiastic and creative lesson planner, and enjoy designing and creating varied resources which meet different learning styles and needs. I also carefully plan opportunities for assessment into lessons.
I have a friendly personality which allows me to form positive working relationships with both students and colleagues, and I am always willing to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the school.
During my six years at Britannia English Academy, I worked in the following roles:
I taught the full range of courses on timetable, including extensive experience of teaching FCE, CAE, CPE and IELTS, which included more intensive exam practice lessons on Saturday mornings.
I also taught General English, Conversation Classes, one-to-one lessons and Business English whilst also, on occasion, delivering special sessions on CV writing, job applications and job interviews.
Outside of the classroom, I also prepared or took part in CPD, as well as attending events such as Conversation Club.
