  • Company Overview: A fast-paced sales environment for selling and fitting blinds.
  • I've enjoyed around eight years as a self-employed fitter/advisor with Hillarys in what is a fast paced sales environment.
  • I have been selling and fitting blinds in people's homes since the beginning so I am fully aware of the day to day challenges and nuances involved with dealing with the general public.
  • Problem solving and solution finding are also day to day challenges I've become skilled at during my time, and dealing with the general public is a given.
  • A fast-paced sales environment for selling and fitting blinds.

Tokyo
01.2015 - 03.2015
  • I had the pleasure of working for Shane for two months in 2015 in Tokyo teaching the entire age range of learners using standard EFL texts; highwire and headway for example.
  • Only a family bereavement made return to the UK and although brief, Tokyo was a great experience I'd recommend to anyone.

  • I worked at SWCHS for the period mentioned and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, though I was only a supply teacher and knew that it would end as soon as a replacement was arranged.
  • SWCHS is an outstanding rated school by Ofsted and requires a great amount of effort to maintain its standards

Teacher of English as a second language

Gateway Education
Northamptonshire
07.2013 - 09.2013
  • This position was for the summer of last year, based in Northamptonshire teaching Chinese students English.
  • After teaching 3 hours in the morning, the afternoons were spent visiting tourist attractions in and around Northamptonshire/London/Oxford/Cambridge/Stratford-upon-Avon (to name but a few).
  • During morning lessons the students aged 12 – 19 were given engaging lessons regarding the English culture and places of interest.
  • The afternoons were then spent visiting places of interest with the students, or sometimes just going to a local park and playing ball-games.
