I am self motivated organised person who is capable of working under pressure. I have a practical approach to problem solving and a drive to see things through to completion. I am an energetic ambitious individual who has developed a mature and responsible approach to any tasks undertaken. I enjoy working on my own intuitive or in a team. In short I am reliable hardworking individual who is eager to learn and have a genuine interest in what I am doing. I enjoy most spending time with my family such as going swimming, camping, boating and playing with my little girl. In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym, concerts, DIY and restoring old furniture.
I was taken on as an apprentice machine operator working with a team of six men. During my training I learnt all aspects of the job including all types of pvc plastic and the assembling of strip doors for factory's and warehouses. Once fully gualified I worked independently on various shifts.
I was originally taken on as a hydrolic machine operator making steel toe caps for safety shoes and boots. In 1998 I was promoted to furnace operator. This involved working as part of a three man team operating two furnaces and two shot blasters. As part of my responsibilities I had to observe and check the following, heat tempreture, water tank pressure and ensuring that the shot blasters were constantly topped up. As a team we worked a fast pace to keep to the tight deadline. In 1999 I was elected to the works council. In that time I played a major part in improving health and safety work conditions on the factory floor.
I was taken on as a hydrolic machine operator making car break pads. This included working all types of machines, coating the pads and baking them.
I was given the job of stores person. My duties included stock control for all the parts required and ensuring all parts needed on the factory floor were delivered correctly and on time. I was promoted to Team leader. My duties included being responsible for all my team members, ensuring the work is carried out correctly and completed within the time given. I was also responsible for hiring of temps and training them.
As a warehouse operative, my duties are processing orders, packing, checking stock, unloading vehicles, and undertaking deliveries by van when needed. I am also responsible for receiving deliveries, booking stock, taking phone calls, and meeting our customer's needs. At this moment in time, I also worked at their other site in Halatrow helping to train a colleague in all aspects of the job.
My duties were
Checking and booking in printing cylinders received
Clean,prepare and label printing cylinders for production
Clean,and wrap printing cylinders for despatch
Liaise with transport companies to arrange collections or deliveries
Drive company van in need of delivery or collection
Drive forklift truck when needed
Basic computer skills.

Hours 6 till 2 and 2 till 10
My current duties are driving the flat bed for deliveries of steel beams for customers, and construction sites.
Preparing all beams to be sprayed before leaving the premises.
Taking deliveries driving the jcb forklift & comb 400 side loader,also booking in stock.
Keeping the yard in order for collections.
