Invicta Group - Commercial Director

Reporting directly to the Managing Director I was responsible for the commercial performance
and awareness of the company overseeing current projects and evaluating new
entrepreneurial opportunities for the company portfolio.

Strong negotiation skills and exceptional client relationships have been important in
successfully carrying out contracts from conception, through the build process and final
account stage.

Within my position I realized the growth of the company in the UK and the opening of
offices in North America and Middle East, this involved dealing with respective legal and
operational challenges. It has been important to implement communication routes within the
UK company structure to increase and promote cross selling whilst overseeing all marketing,
Health & Safety and the HR of the company.

Contracting

I was involved with various types of contracting at many levels in the business and oversaw the
vetting of Sub-Contract agreement undertaken and procured i.e.: JCT/NEC and the setting up
of Collateral and Product Warranties with the associated PI Insurances required.

Reporting to the Directors my responsibility was for the profit & loss of two of the company
divisions and the start-up and growth of a third division in the Passive Fire Protection Industry.

This involved achieving the correct accreditations to formal parties ASFP and FIRAS,
promoting sales and the recruitment of staff throughout the division's strategic growth.

I managed all the major projects for all divisions within the group, including Refurbishment, Term
Maintenance and Fit-out contracting.

Whilst covering Maternity leave I joined the Storage Division and carried out Surveys throughout the UK and Europe for new Installations and H&S checks and then designed maximum space layouts with AutoCAD.

Estimator

Working in the Specialist Interior Division I was involved in working up all quotations from the initial enquiry and estimating all Labour, Materials and Plant and overseeing the Installation from start to completion.

Building Estimator & Surveyor

Working for a busy local contractor as part of a team my duties started with general construction administration and led to with training producing estimates from either through surveys, SMM7 take offs from Architectural drawings or Bills of Quantities.
