• Lead by example and provide daily individualised support to develop finance team with all specialisms inc billing, credit control, management account reporting, accounts payable and budgeting and forecast to be recognised as experts and supportive by wider business

• Lead on external annual audit production, sign-off and submission of UK statutory accounts for 3 legal entities, resulted in reduction time required to sign off by 6 months.

Business Partnering

• Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of business inc front line staff, site SLT, functional leads and senior leaders / Exec
• Provide financial and commercial support inc 'critical friend' review across range of topics inc monthly financial review, business cases, capex, staff changes and restructures, service line changes and business development
• Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop annual budgets and business cases and to provide on-going support in identifying, understanding and develop resolutions to trends / variances to budgets / plans.
• Production of all UK monthly management accounts, providing assistance to site leads, on issues trends and remedies
• Develop budgets for all UK entities, including creation of revised budget process for site ownership, process and tools
• Develop enhanced Finance, activity and KPI report framework
• Ensure all billing for acute and mental health is robust and accurate

Process Improvements

• Identified accounts payable risk and designed, developed and implemented enhanced purchase to pay process that improved efficiency and transparency.
• Revised debt collection process, resulting in 72% reduction in legacy debt and reduced on-going debt to 33 days
• Redesigned management accounts month end process to produce more effective reporting to key stakeholders
• Implemented budgeting and foretasting process that better engaged with key stakeholders and produced more meaningful business plans with greater business support
• Updated cashflow and liquidity processes to provide both short and longer forecasts to enable early management any business risk
• Implemented financial risk audit and assessment, with updated financial policies and SOPs.

Contract Management

• Ensure adherence to contractual requirements including PLCV / authorization policies and management of NHS contracts
• Management of NHS targets inc national wait times (inc 18 weeks / 6 weeks)
• Adherence to any contract targets or caps e.g. activity caps

• Operationalization of admin of transfer / WLI patients

• Member of the LLP board and responsible for financial reporting to the board
• Responsible for Month end process including engagement with hospital HODs and reporting hospital performance to UK Exec

• UK lead for Integrated, Support and Assurance Process
• Development of the support and assurance process for NHS complex and novel contracts
• Devise guidance for NHS Trust and CCGs for assurance process
• Provide Training to DoH, NHS Trust and CCG Exec wishing to explore using a complex or Novel contract
• Work with and integrate assurance process with NHS Improvement
