I am currently a partner at R&R CONSTRUCTION, which my business partner and I started in summer 2022.

Our company offer a wide range of services and supply all the necessary trades required to carry out the job.

Amongst our wide and varied work we have carried out office fit outs in empty warehouses to kitchen and bathroom installations in domestic dwellings we can cater to your every need.

• Created bespoke furniture for high-end clients, including chairs, tables and cabinetry.
• Designed built-in cupboards, bookcases, booth seating and more
• Undertook patch plastering within void properties, repairing holes and corner damage.
• Carried out thorough snagging to guarantee final results aligned with project specifications.
• Produced partition walls for home and office spaces, including corporate and college facilities.
• Followed architectural drawings to complete projects.
• worked on high end extensions, from demolishing the existing structure to internal finishings and everything in-between.

At Refection property care I gained experience working in teams and by myself. this was the first job where I had been given a company van and a list of jobs to complete by myself.

While working at Reflection I was involved with a lot of renovations, which included;

Full strip outs.

Stud partitions.

Removing rotten joists and replacing them.

Laying caber deck flooring.

Fitting internal fire doors.

Installing upvc / composite doors and windows.

Bespoke built wardrobes.

Laying LVT, laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring.

Kitchens & bathrooms.

All finishings including architraves.

I started my apprenticeship at Colinton furniture after completing my work experience there the year before.

While working at Colinton I learned a wide verity of skills which have stuck with me through my working career.

At Colinton we were involved in a lot of high end work including working at;

The Scottish parliament.

Saint Andrews house.

Charles Rennie mackintosh willow tea rooms.

The museum of childhood.

The usher hall.

While spending most of my time in the workshop making bespoke reception counters, media wall, board room tables and fitted furniture I also enjoyed the site aspect of my job. After spending weeks / months building a project I really enjoyed also being part of the installation team and showing the client the finished product.
