I am currently working in the Business Control Unit, a team focusing on anti money laundering, on a fixed term contract.

Current duties:

Reviewing transactions highlighted on Nice Actimize to ensure they are within the expected activity of the client. Any discrepancies are raised with the client or the relevant relationship team.

Reviewing sanction screening, adverse media and possible PEP connections using FinScan. Where appropriate discount the hit using the bank's records and open source information or take action inline with the procedure to ensure the wider business is aware.

Using the an internal system called Posting Control Orders to ensure that accounts with transactional restrictions are operated as we expect. These restrictions can be due to internal policies or regulatory requires. This can result is contacting clients or relationship teams for additional information and possibly rejecting transactions if required. Completing trigger reviews on newly identified PEP and clients who's activity or jurisdiction have changed.

Led high-achieving corporate service teams in delivering quality customer care to our international corporate banking customers. These teams were working remotely, based in IOM and Jersey. Attended daily and weekly management meetings where any resource issues were highlighted and resolved. Provided support to project teams introducing technology solutions. Cascaded policy changes to the teams to ensure our processes were up to date.
Ensuring system access and building access was current. Recruiting both permanent and contract staff into vacancies across all teams, This included structured interviewing.
Temporary charge of the corporate online banking helpdesk while the role was vacant.

Corporate Service Team - Subject Matter Expert

Key duties included assisting members of the corporate service team with complex queries often relating to international bank payments. This identified any knowledge gaps and allowed me to provided coaching to the whole team to uplift knowledge. This is delivered either 1:1 or in group sessions allowing adequate resources for the team to
function.

Deputised for team manager during their absence from work. This included attending daily management meetings to advise any resource issues and high light team successes and holding daily team meetings via Zoom.

Integrated the work of a Luxembourg based team into our work flow including a site visit.

Ensured all the team members had remote access to systems in the build up to the first lockdown.
Completion of the monthly reconciliation certification process.
