1. High-Value Inventory & Serialisation Control

Serialisation Management: Enforce absolute tracking of individual equipment serial numbers, MAC addresses, and hardware revision numbers via a Warehouse Management System (WMS).

• Component Tracking: Maintain rigorous tracking of complex components, distinguishing between active transceiver modules, multiplexers, and mounting hardware.
• Kitting & Bill of Materials (BOM): Coordinate the custom "kitting" of complete microwave link kits (pairing specific ODUs, IDUs, cables, and software licenses) tailored to individual cell site deployment orders.
• 2. Specialised Storage & Climate Compliance

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Safety: Implement and audit dedicated ESD-protected areas (EPAs) for the handling, picking, and packing of sensitive printed circuit boards and RF modules.

• Environmental Controls: Monitor climate-controlled zones to protect delicate telecom optics, wave guides, and electronic components from moisture, dust, and temperature extremes.
• Optimise space: Organise heavy infrastructure materials, including structural antenna mounts and grounding kits, through efficient pallet racking layout strategies to enhance storage capacity.
• 3. Inbound Quality Assurance & Testing Logistics

Intake Inspections: Verify incoming shipments against manufacturing documentation, inspecting for physical transit damage to sensitive microwave dishes or feed horns.

• Staging for Configuration: Coordinate with network engineers to route newly received hardware through staging areas for pre-shipment firmware flashing, frequency tuning, and burn-in testing.
• RMA & Defect Routing: Manage the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process for faulty hardware returned from field sites, segregating defective items and coordinating warranty repair shipments with technical manufacturers.
• 4. Dispatch Coordination & Field Engineer Logistics

Site-Specific Dispatch: Align order picking schedules with field deployment timelines, ensuring installation teams receive fully completed kits on-site to minimise network downtime.

• Transit Protection: Enforce strict protective packaging guidelines, using custom foam inserts and anti-static materials to safeguard microwave components during transit across rough site access roads.
• Third-Party Logistics (3PL): Coordinate with specialized transport couriers capable of handling fragile, oversized freight and heavy infrastructure deliveries safely.
• 5. Team Leadership & Regulatory Compliance

Workforce Supervision: Lead a team of warehouse associates, training them in the specialised safety techniques required for handling heavy, delicate, and high-value telecommunications gear.

• Enforce health & safety regulations: Oversee site safety rules, ensuring compliance with lifting regulations and safe equipment operation to minimise workplace accidents.
• Conduct asset audits: Execute regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits to identify discrepancies and safeguard high-value infrastructure assets.
• P-Com Microwave and telecommunications equipment managed high-value, highly sensitive electronic assets used in wireless networks and telecom infrastructure. Because this specialised equipment—such as point-to-point microwave radios, outdoor units (ODUs), indoor units (IDUs), antennas, and radio frequency (RF) components—is fragile and subject to strict configuration controls, the role combines advanced technical inventory tracking with precise logistics management.
