Richard Ashenford

I started my career in Engineering with a 4 year mechanical apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering at a tier 2 automotive company, producing internal switchgear components. Following my apprenticeship, I worked in a role as an Injection Moulding Process Technician/Engineer for the same company.

Since then, I have worked in numerous roles related to Injection Moulding Processing and Project Engineering within various industries, in particular medical, where I developed my Scientific Injection Moulding approach to process development.

Most recently I have spent ten years working for a leading manufacturer of Injection Moulding Machines, managing the UK Applications and Training Department. I then spent one year in a sales role within the same company.

• I enjoy spending time with my family and eating out with family and friends.
• I played amateur football at youth and adult level up to the age of 35. I now enjoy watching sports on TV and occasionally go to watch my local football team play.
• I like watching movies.
• I have 2 dogs and enjoy taking then for walks and holidays in the UK.
