Interests
I have a very strong passion for football, I have played at Sunday League & Amateur. I was captain of my club at Sunday League level, I also helped at fundraising events and coaching the age groups below. I then went on to play at a low-level amateur side called the Kelso AFC, I was at the Kelso for around two seasons and had a successful time. I then progressed to a high-level amateur side called Invergowrie AFC, I begun to perform and settle in well, so I was quickly moved into the first team. After a successful season at Invergowrie, I was approached by a junior team which I am currently at called ST. Jamesy AFC. I hope to go further with my football as it is something, I am extremely passionate about. I have also helped at clubs going on at D.I.S.C on a Thursday and Friday night, the project involves running a football session, to help get young people to play sport, keep them safe when they are out alone and also getting them off the streets.
Accomplishments
- Scottish Football Association Coaching Card August 2016 This allows me to teach any team from the age groups of under 17 & below. I also obtained basic first aid while on this course.
- Physical Education DuxesJune 2017I have been selected as the 2017 Duxes winner for Physical Education, meaning I have contributed the most throughout the year in the department. I have been an outstanding student, in my academic work as well as the practical. Also, I have been reliable, helpful, polite, and friendly throughout my time in the department.
- Bruce Warden Memorial TrophyJune 2018I was rewarded the Bruce Warden Memorial Trophy for recognition of achievement in school football at Morgan Academy. Meaning I stood out in this sport and went beyond expectations out with playing such as responsibilities such as making sure the squad was all playing, bringing the kits across, filling water bottles and helping clean up before and after games.
- Football Career June 2011 At Sunday League level I have won Player of the year at Dundee Thistle FC in 2011 and 2012. In 2011 I won Most improved player. I also won Players player in 2011 and 2012. I then moved on to Celtic Boys in 2013. And quickly moved again to Broughty United FC during my time there I won Player of the year and most improved in 2014. I then moved to Douglas Youth Boys during my time there I won Player of the year and Players player 2015. Once I moved up to a higher level to Amateur, I begun to play for a team called Kelso AFC I stayed for two seasons and finished as the team’s top goal scorer in 2016 with 17 goals. I then went onto a higher level of Amateur football when I moved to Invergowrie in 2017, I only stayed for half a season, but it was a good learning experience. I quickly moved up another level and currently play for Junior team St James AFC. At the age of 16 after my time at the Kelso I was selected to take part in Scotland U17s trials, I took part in the 3 exit trials made the reserves for the 2017/2018. Although I didn’t make the team this showed me that I can play at an extremely high level and really boosted my confidence.
