My current role involves the assessment and treatment of patients within both inpatient and outpatients setting. I have ensured the delivery of high quality patient centred rehabilitation using a range of evidence based techniques. Allowing these patients to return to the level of health and well-being they desire.

Along with individual patient assessment I have created and developed an ACL rehabilitation class. This has allowed me to provide group based therapy and streamline the rehabilitation offered to these groups of patients. It has helped me to understand more about the clinical governance required in a senior role.

During my rotation I have had experience working in oncology and haematology, neuroscience intensive care, cardiothoracic critical care, and MSK outpatients. I have gained skills in complex discharge planning along with symptom management of patients undergoing oncological procedures. I am respiratory competent and on-call trained and have dealt with many time-critical deteriorating patients.
I have also had experience with working in an outpatients setting, assessing and treating complex musculoskeletal issues.
Throughout my rotations i have completed several in-service training as part of my professional development along with educating students as part of their physiotherapy placements.
Responsibilities:
My role as a clinical technologist included aseptic production of radio-pharmaceuticals for distribution across the health board, including our own nuclear medicine department. I was also responsible for safe administration of these products for use in specialist nuclear medical scans and procedures such as metastatic bone scans, myocardial perfusion and bone densitometry. This job allowed me to gain knowledge and skills of working with patients within the NHS.
