I have had a wide range of experiences in different roles, from my teenage years being a waitress/front of house, to moving on in life to childcare, customer service and then accountancy based work. I believe this has given me a wide range of skills, such as; communication, patience, multi-tasking and listening skills, which I believe would be beneficial in any line of work.
I currently work at an accounting firm doing a mix of bookkeeping and payroll. I am responsible for all of the firm's clients' VAT returns and day-to-day accounts receivables/payables. I also complete clients' payroll reports for them each month. This current role has strict deadlines to work to, meaning timekeeping has to be one of my strongest assets. I work closely with the clients, building the relationships we need to meet these deadlines efficiently.
Whilst working at the doctors surgery, I began to do an AAT course on evenings and weekends, allowing me to achieve my goal of completing Level 3 in accounting and Bookkeeping. In October 2022, I took the plunge to join an accountancy firm as a receptionist to begin my career in bookkeeping. in 2023 I achieved my Level 3 AAT and moved full time into the bookkeeping team.
Managed patient interactions as full-time receptionist, handling both in-person queries and phone calls. Transitioned to administrative role as medical centre expanded, developing key administrative skills still utilised today.
I began working as an appractice straight from leaving school, eventually achieving my Level 3 in childcare.
