I completed one week of work experience with a charity supporting families in difficulty and crisis. I undertook the following tasks:
- Observed home visits and learned how the charity operates and fundraises.
- Developed an understanding of the challenges faced by families and how social work supports change and safeguards children.
- Helped organise stock for the Charity Shop/ Food Bank
- Helped set up and run a party for a Toddler and Baby Group (team-work, following instructions).
- Engaged an 8 year old boy in self-esteem building work through football.
