With experience primarily in multi-drop deliveries, backed up by time spent in busy kitchens, I feel my skillset equips me with the knowledge and experience to fit comfortably within another driving job. I also like to think I carry an up-beat, charismatic personality that helps me not just provide a good customer experience, but also bring some spirit into the workplace with co-workers.
Delivery driving has been a career path I have taken to with comfort. I enjoy the roads and I am confident with a range of vehicles and my abilities within various jobs within the driving sector. When starting at West Country, with experience from ASDA, my training was actually cut short from 6 days to 4 as my trainer and manager felt assured I was proficient. I'm confident I can issue the same assurance elsewhere within my driving career.
I currently still work at West Country however my desire to leave is a result of the low hours available, especially as we head towards the dark eras of the glorious British seasons.
The start of my years of employment in kitchens, while not a field I wish to pursue, installed the ability to work long hours in an often high stressed and fast paced environment. While not enjoyable as a late teen, I'm glad to have worked these environments as it had set me up well for hard and effective work in my future endeavours.
