Shadowing Legal Advisor

Saber Solutions LTD

During the unpaid work experience at Saber Solutions law firm, with supervision by experienced solicitors. This work experience allowed to gain knowledge and skills in immigration law, housing law, and welfare law. While involved in all three areas, personal focus was on welfare law. Under the guidance of the solicitors in the firm, working on a range of welfare cases, assisting clients with issues related to benefits, social security, and support services. This role requires conducting thorough legal research, drafting documents, and communicating effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds. It was sometimes challenging to deal with at least 3-5 cases per day; however, was assisted by a qualified solicitor. Saber Solutions not only developed personal understanding of welfare law but also strengthened personal analytical abilities, attention to detail, and ability to handle sensitive client matters with empathy as well as professionalism. Additionally, it offered the opportunity to experience legal work in different legal departments, which has further developed personal knowledge and understanding.
