Work history

Senior Communications Manager

Wildstorm PR
London
2021.01 - Current

As of January 2021 I have been working at Wildstorm PR. I have worked with some of the biggest agencies in creativity and advertising. The role is very varied with no two days being the same. I currently manage the news desk, created strategic plans and ghost write leadership documents, as well as provide comprehensive administrative support to senior executives, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and handling confidential information.

  • Oversee day-to-day office operations of Wildstorm, ensuring smooth functioning and effective communication across departments.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the Wildstorm founder and clients, coordinating and managing high-level client communications, media inquiries, and PR opportunities.
  • Coordinate special projects, events, and client meetings, ensuring all logistics are flawlessly executed, including venue selection, agenda preparation, and post-event follow-ups.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of PR materials such as press releases, leadership comments, and opinion pieces, working closely with the communications team to align with strategic goals.
  • Support the development and implementation of PR strategies, helping to raise brand awareness and maintain a positive public image for clients.
  • Maintain and organise confidential files and records, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative and account management, to ensure alignment on campaign deliverables and deadlines.

Communications Manager

Grey London
London
2019.09 - 2020.09
  • My role at Grey was wide-ranging, including day to day admin – this ranged from PO’s to timesheets to updating and creating the Comms calendar. This calendar had every part of PR and comms communicated in a spreadsheet, including pitches to publications, leadership pieces, dates of new campaigns, social content to be released and internal events; this was a vital part of keeping track of all dates and times of everything happening within the agency.
  • Social media content – I created the content and copy with the aid of designers and scheduled social media across Grey London’s social media (Instagram, twitter and LinkedIn) whilst I was at the company Grey London’s Instagram grew 2000+ followers and I helped to create a new twitter account for Grey Europe; for this part of the role to run smoothly liaising with new business, creative and account teams were key.
  • A large amount of focus has been on crisis management, which has taught me time management skills, strategic planning and internal communications. This included managing leadership loses from the company, internal newsletters to communicate updates and working closely with trade press.
  • Press release writing – I have had the privilege to write many press releases whilst at Grey, including for the incredible piece of work The Birdman (Grey created for Volvo); achieving the highest score in this year’s creative council and Campaigns Ad of the Day. This skill has continued to grow, as I adapted form fashion and beauty press releases to trade and corporate.
  • Leadership thought pieces – a large part of my role was working closely with the Chief Growth Officer, CCO and CEO to not only pitch them to publications but to also draft copy and POV’s that they may take an interest in. This relies on quick thinking, time management and being able to spot a hook or unique POV within a topic.
  • Internal events and newsletters – Upon new work being released I would run internal events for 300+ staff to attend, this would be everything from organising the catering to ensuring the work was running smooth and signed off with the client and account teams to setting up and helping to write speeches. I also created content for our internal newsletter, crafting the CEO’s introduction and designing all the content myself.
  • Liaising with trade press, account teams, designers and the creative teams – for the release of campaigns to run smooth it relied on myself coordinating press briefings with the UK trade press and working with the internal teams to ensure expectations are met and we all have the same understanding of the end result.
