I retired from my position of Headteacher in April 2024 in order to support my daughter and to take care of my young grandson. However, now he is in full time education, I am seeking a position which will allow me to utilise the experience, knowledge, and skills, that I developed during my career. I am organised, methodical, and systematic in my approach to my work, taking a proactive approach to ensure that all tasks and recommendations are actioned within a specified time schedule. I have a strong work ethic, I lead by example, setting challenging targets for my own performance and holding myself to high standards of responsibility and accountability.
I am responsible for the merchandising for four stores in the Liverpool area. I boost product visibility by creating appealing displays, ensuring accurate pricing and labelling of the products on display. I coordinate seasonal changes in displays to meet marketing objectives effectively. I perform stock management duties for optimal inventory control, ensuring that key ranges are replenished regularly to achieve strong stock ability. I ensure exceptional customer service to enhance the customer’s shopping experience.
As the Headteacher at The Trinity Catholic Academy, I provided strategic leadership and oversaw all aspects of the school's operations. I promoted the school's vision and mission, working closely with staff, parents, and the wider community to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. My responsibilities included providing pastoral care of all pupils, ensuring compliance with legislations, managing the school's operations, and collaborating with the governing body in developing strategic planning for the school. I was responsible for managing school finances, including budgeting, procurement, and allocation of resources I also focused on analysing pupil progress and support, developing a broad curriculum provision, and promoting high expectations of behaviour.
During my tenure as Headteacher at St Teresa's Catholic Primary School from September 2014 to August 2018, I provided effective leadership and contributed to the overall development and success of the school. I worked closely with staff, parents, and the wider community to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils. I raised standards in the school through effective management, as well as designing and delivering a new, fit for purpose curriculum., one that met the needs of all pupils. Whilst Headteacher I gained recognition of my skills through a very positive OFSTED report, and under my leadership, the school was judged 'outstanding' in delivering Catholic Education, by the Archdiocese of Liverpool. I was safeguarding lead and also worked with the Local Authority to audit the safeguarding compliance of other educational establishments.
My dedication and leadership were recognised when I was awarded Liverpool Archdiocese Catholic Headteacher of the Year in 2017, which reflected my commitment to providing high-quality education and pastoral care.
As the Assistant Headteacher and SENDCo at All Saints Catholic Primary School from September 2011 to August 2014, I played a key role in providing leadership and contributing to the overall success of the school. I deputised for the Headteacher as necessary, line managed main scale teachers and teaching assistants. I was also assessment leader and Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator. I also organised staff training, supported Early Career Teachers through their provisional year, and reported to key stakeholders at Governor's meetings.
