  • Deployed on multiple situational awareness visits across the broader Middle East to enable accurate understanding and develop reliable intelligence network of sources and agencies.
  • Ensured frequent liaison with members of aforementioned network to develop and share cross-community understanding of potential threats to the region of interest.
  • Produced and maintained threat indicator and warning products, which were shared with and adapted by staff in British Embassies overseas and used to inform ambassadorial level decision making.
  • Fulfilled a reach-back function during multiple evacuation and repatriation Operations, during which provided near real time threat assessments which informed both force protection considerations for troops on the ground, and decision making at ministerial level.
  • Invested significant equity in the coaching and mentoring of junior soldiers, ensuring oversight of outputs and providing training when required.
  • Acted as Section Commander during periods of multiple absences due to deployments and high tempo activity. Ensured section running was conducted in accordance with the relevant policies and personal considerations to ensure safety, security and welfare concerns were addressed.

Counter-Intelligence and Security Operator - KSF

  • Deployed overseas for 6 months within the Kabul Security Forces (KSF),Counter-Intelligence and Security Unit (CISU), Kabul, Afghanistan.
  • Conducted Field Security Inspections and Advisory Visits to five sites housing British Forces in Afghanistan. Findings published in coherent written reports enabled areas of physical security weakness to be swiftly addressed.
  • Conducted biometric enrolments at the Afghanistan National Army Officer Academy (ANAOA).
  • Sole responsibility for managing access control at one location, ensuring all local nationals were vetted, enrolled and screened where necessary.
  • Production of a daily access list - ensured all escorting duties were adhered to in order to maintain the highest level of assurance for the site.
  • Delivered vital security education and awareness briefs to deployed personnel following counter-intelligence and security investigations in order to mitigate physical security risk and reputational damage.
  • Effectively and appropriately managed security incidents reported by British Forces, other NATO forces and local nationals.
