• Trained to construct and repair desktop computers, including running hardware and software diagnostics, testing components, and packaging larger units for shipping
• Additional roles included organising and taking inventory of stock, order fulfilment, and some sales experience.

Undertook an 11 month long project in the Laschat research group at the Institute of Organic Chemistry, University of Stuttgart. My project concerned the ’synthesis and investigation of novel formazan derivatives’. During this time I was able to conduct independent research in a laboratory, where I improved my synthetic practical work and gained experience in analytical techniques such as polarisation optical microscopy, UV/Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction. I was also able to enhance my scientific writing and presentation skills among working PhD students. The majority of my experience consisted of the synthesis and characterisation of literature unknown compounds as well as the investigation of their chemical properties. I was able to appreciate the working atmosphere outside of the UK and embrace a different culture.
