As a final-year Biomedical Science student at Lancaster University, I have developed a strong foundation in research and analysis while honing my communication and leadership abilities. Serving as a student representative, I effectively gathered and conveyed diverse student perspectives to faculty, ensuring constructive dialogue and actionable outcomes. My role as Public Relations Director for *Two Thousand Magazine* has further enhanced my skills in outreach, engagement, and creative communication strategies, allowing me to connect effectively with diverse audiences. These experiences, coupled with my enthusiasm for driving positive change and amplifying the student voice, position me well to contribute meaningfully as a Strategic Projects Student Champion.
As a Content Creator for the Faculty of Health and Medicine, I craft engaging content to showcase academic programs, research, and student experiences.
For my final-year project, supervised by Dr. Victorio Bambini, I am conducting a systematic review on autism spectrum disorder (ASD) animal models, focusing on brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) levels in the brain. This research aims to analyze and synthesize existing studies to better understand the role of BDNF in ASD and its potential therapeutic implications.
