As a committed and aspirational learner, I am excited to provide my expertise and enthusiasm to the Criminal Justice field to a stimulating learning atmosphere. As a second-year student at Bolton University studying a BA (Hons) in Crime and Criminal Justice, I have solidified my knowledge in several areas, including Ethics and Diversity, the Criminal Investigation Process, and Mental Health and Criminal Justice. My voluntary work at Bolton Combined Court has enhanced my academic experience. As part of the Citizens Advice Witness Service, for example, I actively help witnesses and play a critical role in offering support and assistance to those involved in court procedures. This may entail offering emotional support and assisting getting witnesses ready to handle testifying. This experience taught me the value of empathy and confidentiality in addition to enhancing my work-based learning.
