As part of the Secondary Lining team, I am involved in the construction of the offshore Tunnel Shaft Connections at Outfall Tunnel, Intake Tunnel 1 and Intake Tunnel 2, which are part of the cooling water system for the HPC nuclear power station.
My main responsibilities are:
A part of the Secondary Lining team, I was involved in the construction of the onshore Adits (Outfall and Intake Tunnel 2 Launch Adits), which are part of the cooling water system for the HPC nuclear power station.
My main responsibilities were:
A part of the Secondary Lining Shift team, I was involved in the construction of the onshore galleries (Diversification Galleries 1 and 2, Outfall Galleries 1 and 2, Liaison Galleries) which are part of the cooling water system for the HPC nuclear power station, leading the works on my shift. Works included the installation of waterproofing, reinforcement, cast-in items, falsework, formwork and concrete placement.
My main responsibilities were:
The works included the construction of RC chambers, installation of surface and foul water pipelines, construction of manholes, duct banks, street lighting, potable water and road construction.
My main duties as a Section Engineer and TWS are:
- Coordinating, supervising and planning works
- Scheduling/ ordering materials, plant and equipment
- Liaising with subcontractors, supervisors and client
- Ensuring adherence of H&S and carrying out Safety tours
- Requesting Permits (Excavation, Hot works and Confined Spaces)
- Monitoring Temporary Works
- Raising RFI's, FCR's & NCR's
- Production of RAMS, ITP's, ECSR's and LTQR's
- Carrying out Quality inspections
The works included the construction of a RC retaining wall, backfilling operations, road construction and surfacing works, installation of 400 KV duct bank, construction of a sewage treatment plant and associated foul rising mains, dismantling of a temporary steel bridge.

The works include:
- “Taunton Sewage Treatment” RC and drainage works;
- “Frome Valley Relief Sewer Phase 3” at North of Bristol: 1.5Km of pipejacking tunnelling and associated shafts and manholes;
- “Usk Reservoir Spillway" (South Wales): upgrade (200m long reinforced concrete watertight spillway lining, grouting works, removal of the existing baffle blocks and guide wall and the addition of shear keys for spillway chute stability).

The works included repairs at several RC bridges at M5 motorway near Gloucester (between J10 and J14), involving excavation to expose bridge foundations, hydrodemolition of damaged concrete and repairs to piers and foundations caused by Thaumasite Sulphate Attack. Works included as well fixing other structural elements of the bridges such as bearings and plinths, abutment walls and waterproofing membranes.
