  • As a staff member in the winter wonderland I had a range of different job roles
  • Most of my time was spent working at the ice skate hire where I checked tickets and served the customers
  • I also sometimes worked in the ticket office where I sold wrist bands to customers which included tickets for the ice bar
  • By doing this, I adapted skills such as time management and customer service skills as I had to be conscious of time restraints whilst working the busy Christmas period and engage with members of the public daily in a polite and civil manner.

  • During my time as a staff member for the Mellors Group, Nottingham Beach, I held a variety of different roles wet suit hire, where I sold customers wet suits, tickets and wristbands, I also had my manager assign me to lifeguard duty where I had to also watch and concentrate on the customers in case of any difficulties and ensuring nobody was going to harm themselves or anyone else whilst using the slides
  • Although I wasn't in this job for very long, I did learn how to treat members of the public in a respectful and polite manner even when people were being unpleasant
  • I also learnt how to be reliant when needed as this was also an extremely busy time of year.
