Accomplishments

Recently, I received instructions from a client, who was the Defendant in the case. She wanted to amend her Defence. However, the case was at the disclosure stage and the original Defence was filed five months ago. I made an N244 application promptly, researched relevant case laws and submitted the form, seeking permission to amend the Defence under CPR 17.1. The hearing was listed in a weeks time, I prepared the bundle, skeleton argument, index and briefed the client for the hearing. During the hearing, I made effective arguments, my argument was based on the overriding objectives of just and proportionately. The Claimant did not oppose our amended Defence, and judgement was granted in our favor. The client was overwhelmed by my outstanding performance.
