Summary

I am a motivated and driven Kennel Supervisor who has an innate passion for animal welfare and education. My drive for a more compassionate world for animals led me to make the decision in moving from my previous career in teaching to working at the Dogs Trust, which has been the most fantastic experience. I am upbeat and always have a positive attitude whilst carrying out my work duties. My hobbies include walking and exploring the beautiful countryside with my husband and three beagles; reading a multitude of genres; learning new things and early-modern history.

Voluntary Work

I previously volunteered at the RSPCA Leeds, Wakefield and District Branch, where I was responsible for exercising, playing with and socialising a wide range of dogs; implementing training plans; cleaning out kennels, grooming and ensuring positive welfare for each individual dog's needs. I was one of a few trained volunteers who works with complex cases; dogs who have experienced severe trauma and may have difficult behaviour traits.

I have also previously volunteered for The Wonkey Donkey Sanctuary and remotely for The Humane League to help make the world a better place for animals; however decided to concentrate my efforts on my real passion, which is the care, rehabilitation and rehoming of dogs.
