A pan-European business development role for which, I was responsible for key customers within Germany, Austria and Nordic Countries, e.g. IKEA, Volvo, Adidas. Within the marketing team, I worked closely with the sales teams to produce customer-specific E-Commerce tool to allow IBM’s top 100 Large Enterprise Direct (LED) customers purchase directly from IBM.
In addition to this role, I lead the deployment of the above programme directed at Small/Medium Businesses and have been integral to its successful roll-out throughout EMEA.
Key achievements include:
Pitching and demonstrating the E-Commerce tool – either at the customer site or at the IBM manufacturing site in Greenock, Scotland. This was typically to CIO/VP level.
Creating and implementing B2B marketing campaigns for use on the web sites
Project managing each web site build to meet customer requirements and a strict launch deadline
Fully presenting and demonstrating the web ordering tool to board level and later to the procurement teams who would use this tool on a daily basis
Production of marketing material to promote the web ordering tool, e.g. CD, brochure
Running pan-European workshops to educate IBM sales teams
Working with Tele-Sales Representatives to ensure web-based campaigns were being utilised
