With over 20 years of experience, I bring a wealth of expertise in risk management, health and safety and property inspections to my role as Senior Loss Control Engineer at Allianz.
I support clients in identifying and mitigating risk, working together to implement tailored risk management solutions that address their unique challenges whilst ensuring practicality and promoting a culture of safety.
I conduct detailed risk engineering surveys for property, casualty, and construction clients, collaborating to develop effective strategies that minimize potential losses.
I create positive client relationships through my friendly manner and clear communication with customised risk management for medium to large corporate clients.
Possessing the time management and initiative skills to work individually, I also enjoy collaborating and working effectively as part of a team.
I joined Allianz on the Underwriting Graduate programme in 2002. This was a 2 year fast track programme where the graduates were placed for fixed time scales in different underwriting areas of the business.
During my time on the scheme I spent time in New Business packages as well as Existing Commercial Property and Casualty business. Within this role I dealt with risks with premiums of up to £50,000.
Towards the end of the 2 year Graduate Scheme I took the opportunity to work as an underwriter within a National Broker’s office in Bolton.
Here I was involved in both new and existing package risks and commercial business, exclusively for Willis. This was a great experience, as I was able to negotiate on a face to face basis with the brokers and improve the business relationship between the two companies.
In January 2005, the 6 month placement at Willis came to an end and I returned to Allianz Manchester. There I worked as part of the Existing Business Team, before taking up the role within Loss Control in March.
